A typical bulge near the abdomen can be felt as a muscle contraction in the stomach and pylorus. Ultrasound examination can be done if there is doubt over the diagnosis. This examination is very reliable to detect thickening of the pylorus.
- Treatment of pyloric stenosis
A minor surgery with general anesthesia, usually can cure this disease, surgery is usually successful. Normal feeding can begin immediately after surgery is completed. Most babies recover quickly and do not have problems anymore.
